Declaration Practice: learn through an example

Before making a move, check the cards in view. Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. Take a moment to read the table. Start a 10-question session. Read the visible rule label and wild rank, if shown. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

500 stored and rule-checked questions; ten questions per session. Questions can repeat across sessions. Practice is solo, with no rating, cash reward or account.

A small practice goal

A clear plan starts with the current position. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

The challenge in front of you

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Use another round to revisit a decision. Take a moment to read the table.

From the start of a round

  1. Start a 10-question session. Read the visible rule label and wild rank, if shown.
  2. All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence.
  3. Study the complete hand before answering. Choose Valid or Not valid.
  4. Read the explanation after submitting. Each question accepts one submitted answer.
  5. Continue to the tenth question for a session score; start another session for a new selection.

Input guidance

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. For a calm first round, focus on one decision.

Work through an example

Example hand: Joker 2♣ 5♣ K♥ 4♠ 10♦ 6♠ A♣ 5♣ J♠ J♠ 4♥ 8♥. Wild rank 5. No full grouping meets the two-sequence and pure-sequence requirement. The penalty for this hand is 74 points. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

A mistake to avoid

A clear plan starts with the current position. Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Helpful answers for players

What is the aim?

Check whether a complete 13-card hand can satisfy every declaration requirement. Begin with the objective. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

How do I use the controls?

Tap the answer buttons or selected card; the deadwood exercise uses a numeric input. Next question appears after an answer. Look at the complete hand before deciding. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

Which format is available?

500 stored and rule-checked questions; ten questions per session. Questions can repeat across sessions. Practice is solo, with no rating, cash reward or account. For a calm first round, focus on one decision. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

What should I check before a move?

Do not judge only the best three cards; every remaining card matters. For a calm first round, focus on one decision. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

Can you give an example?

One pure run, another joker-assisted run and two complete sets can cover a valid 13-card hand. Keep the active rule in mind. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.

How many questions are available?

This exercise contains 500 stored questions. A session selects ten without repeating within that session. Keep the active rule in mind. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

Can I change a submitted answer?

No. Read the explanation, then continue. Start another session to practise again. For a calm first round, focus on one decision. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Are the answers checked against the rules?

All cards need a non-overlapping grouping, at least two sequences and at least one pure sequence. Use the rule sheet as a reference. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Will I always see new cards?

No. The bank is finite, so another session may include a previously played question. For a calm first round, focus on one decision. Take the next action only when the current step is clear.

What does the score measure?

The score is the number of correct answers in this ten-question session. It is not a skill certificate or a prediction of match results. Work at your own pace. The same rule applies on a phone and on a computer.
